Caramel Fried Apple Cobbler
3 cups peeled and cubed chayote squash
1/3 cup granular sugar free sweetener
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 Tbsp. Walden Farms caramel syrup
3 Tbsp. Walden Farms maple syrup
Tbsp. Walden Farms apple butter
1/3 cup water
1 Tbsp. olive oil
3 IP maple oatmeal mix
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. granular sugar free sweetener
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ cup liquid egg whites
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. water
Microwave squash approx. 10 minutes to start softening
Mix all filling ingredients in fry pan or sauce pan and cook 10 minutes on medium heat
Turn burner to low and cover. Let sit 5 minutes.
For the topping, place all dry ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well.
Add wet ingredients and stir to mix.
Spread filling in a baking dish and then spread topping on.
Bake at 350 degrees 15-17 minute
